How are UPVC Windows manufactured?
The processing of the uPVC windows is a sophisticated operation that takes place following precision engineering, applied material science, and above all, stringent quality assurance to deliver the best products in the market. First, the uPVC resin is mixed with the necessary additives. Upon feeding the colourant compound into the extruder, the compound is heated to melt and shape profiles through precision dies. The profiles are then used in making window frames and sashes. Once extruded, the profiles are immediately passed through a water bath for cooling to retain their geometry and integrity. To enhance the structural strength, particularly in large-sized windows, galvanized steel reinforcements are inserted into the hollow chambers of the profiles. Then, using computer-controlled cutting machines for accuracy, these profiles are cut into definite sizes. Next, hardware components such as hinges, handles, locks, and friction stays are fixed. Drainage holes and wat...
